About

I am an artist and art educator located in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Art and Design and a minor in Fashion Merchandising. Currently, I am working towards my M.A. in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship with The University of Oklahoma, Online.

I have a passion for the business of art and look forward to returning to the field to begin to apply my studies and experience. Upon completing my master’s degree from OU in 2024, I plan to attend Sotheby’s Institute to work towards an M.A. in Art Business.

As an artist, I have explored many mediums I spent many years doing photography for magazines, weddings, and portraits. I have since taken a step back from the medium to return to and explore my talents in figure drawing, painting, and mixed media. I consider comedy to be synonymous with art, as we wish both to play and to be taken seriously.

As a high school educator of 7 years in North Texas, I pride myself on building strong relationships with my students, providing them with the tools and knowledge to bring out the best of their creative talents. I have a liberationist pedagogical approach to teaching that creates a strong classroom culture and a safe place for students to be heard. I teach upper-level art courses in drawing and ceramics and AP Studio Art courses.
